About Me
- Dr. SM Shirazi
- Dr. Sharif Moniruzzaman Shirazi started his career as an Irrigation Engineer. He obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Irrigation Engineering from Bangladesh Agricultural University. He obtained Ph.D. in the department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of Saitama University, Japan. He also worked as a JSPS (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science) Postdoctoral Fellow at Geosphere Research Institute of Saitama University. He worked as an Assistant Professor in the department of Civil Engineering of World University of Bangladesh. Dr. Shirazi has fifteen years research experience in the area of physico-chemical properties of soil, agro-ecological aspects of groundwater utilization, groundwater quality for irrigation and impact on changes of climatic parameters on crop production. He worked on bentonite for nuclear waste disposal in Japan. He worked with many foreign experts/consultants and workers at different stage of research work. He has about 30 technical paper published in Australia, Bangladesh, Japan and Thailand.
